Airport Service Technician - Seattle, WA

Job Purpose: 


The Service Technician realizes optimum availability of vehicles and installations for the customer. 


Key tasks: 


  1. Maintenance of the vehicles  

  • Active participation in the 5S of the workshop; 

  • Independently carry out maintenance servicing on GSE (Ground Support Equipment) and/or Commercial Trucks based on the TCR standard processes; 

  • Safe and secure transport of GSE and/or Commercial Trucks 

  • Basic and general repairs on a range of GSE (site dependent) and/or Commercial Trucks. This includes basic electrical repairs i.e., replacing light bulbs, switches, checking fuses and relays; 

  • Look up the necessary information in the GSE and/or Commercial Truck manuals; 

  • Report and discuss with the supervisor damage and work that does not belong to the prescribed work to determine if these must be remedied immediately; 

  • Actively participating in TCR’s OEHS process by understanding and complying with the OEHS policy, OEHS procedures and requirements; participating by reporting unsafe situations, near misses and improvement ideas. 


  1. Administrative support 

  • Able to report properly on the work order in the TCR system; 

  • Time sheet reporting within the TCR system; 

  • Scan properly the spare parts on the correct work order; 

  • Checking the commissioned vehicles in terms of hours, water, oil, and lights; 

  • Reporting to and discussing the damage and work that does not belong to the prescribed work; 

  • Complete TCR maintenance checklists; 

  • Pictures of repairs and damages. 


Competencies (Knowledge and skills) required for successful performance 


  • Good knowledge of electricity and mechanics; 

  • Basic knowledge of electronics and hydraulics; 

  • Good knowledge of GSE (types depending on site needs); 

  • Knowledge of the airport regulations; 

  • A good understanding of the maintenance plans process; 

  • A good understanding the critical safety, quality, and operational procedures; 

  • A good understanding of the 5S principles; 

  • Knowledge of local/specific regulations on GSE; 

  • Understanding of customer requirements; 

  • Desire to progress, hands-on 

  • Solid work ethic and being committed to provide our customers with the expertise and courtesy they expect from us 

  • Team player 

  • Integrity, adhere to company policies and procedures, work as a team. 

  • Flexible  

  • Basic MS Office 365 skills  

  • Fluent in English – both oral and written
